Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is centrally located in the lovely Borders town of Melrose, making it convenient for walks and local shops. The rooms were comfortable and had a charming decor reminiscent of a 1970s/1980s hotel, although some noise disturbances were present in the morning. The dining experience was delightful, especially with the friendly staff providing excellent meals. However, some areas of service were slow and unhelpful, slightly impacting the overall experience.
The hotel's rooms, although very clean, are a bit dated and are located next to the noisy restaurant ventilation extraction pipe. On the bright side, the service is exceptional, especially for our dog who was treated like a star. The location couldn't be more convenient, right in the bustling center of Melrose. The dining experience, while enjoyable, had a minor issue with staff forgetting napkins. Overall, a mixed experience with some highs and lows.
The hotel is perfectly situated in the charming town of Melrose with convenient car parking, offering easy access to local restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, but the midget-sized bathroom and proximity to the restaurant ventilation pipe can be noisy. The staff provides excellent service and is always courteous, even arranging breakfast tray delivery to the room. The dining experience is enjoyable with friendly staff, but the noise from the kitchen vent pipe can be disruptive. Overall, a great location with minor noise disturbances.
